230KV 3 Phase Power Transformer

The 230kV 3-Phase Power Transformer is a heavy-duty grid transformer engineered for transmission and substation duties where long-distance power transfer, grid interconnection and high short-circuit withstand are required. Built around a low-loss, grain-oriented silicon steel core and mechanically robust copper windings, this oil-immersed unit combines modern thermal design with rugged mechanical construction so it delivers decades of reliable service in outdoor installations.

Key design priorities are low no-load and load losses, minimized audible noise, and high short-circuit strength. The unit comes standard with a high-voltage on-load tap-changer (OLTC) to allow continuous grid voltage regulation under load, modular radiators and staged forced-air cooling to extend continuous power capability when required, and a comprehensive protection suite including Buchholz gas protection, rapid-pressure relief and multi-point temperature monitoring. The tank, conservator and fittings are finished and prepared for long outdoor service with corrosion-resistant coatings and easily accessible valves and test points for field maintenance.

This model is supplied as a factory-tested turnkey assembly with full routine tests (temperature-rise, insulation, ratio, short-circuit, no-load loss) and comes with technical documentation and a 24-month warranty. Typical customizations include alternative secondary voltages, extra tertiary winding for stabilization or station services, remote monitoring packages, and ecological insulating fluids on request.

Product Advantages

Icon logo

Grid-grade reliability with low lifecycle losses

Designed to minimize both no-load and load losses via optimized core stacking and conductor transposition, delivering quantifiable energy savings over the asset life and easing compliance with ecodesign / utility efficiency targets.

Icon logo 2

Flexible field operation & precise voltage control

Motorized HV OLTC and multi-step cooling let operators tune station output precisely under load and temporarily boost capacity with staged fan cooling—valuable for renewable integration and handling peak dispatch events.

Icon logo 1

Serviceability and safety-focused design

Conservator and valve layout, external gauges, clear marshalling for protection, and standard DGA/monitoring interfaces reduce diagnostic time and on-site interventions — improving uptime and lowering O&M costs over decades of service.
